Who we are
Cloverium was founded by Walid Fayad after more than 25 years in banks, including at the EBRD and IFC, and as a senior expert and team leader of Development Finance Institutions-funded technical assistance. The firm combines senior, hands-on delivery with a vetted roster of experts that it mobilises for larger programmes.
Vision. To be the trusted boutique that DFIs, banks and consulting firms call on to field senior, vetted sustainable-finance and climate risk teams.

Walid has more than 25 years of experience in banking and development finance. At the EBRD he led the bank’s financial-institutions business in Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Armenia and originated more than 40 transactions across MENA, Türkiye, the Caucasus and South-East Europe. At IFC he led senior-loan transactions and managed a debt and equity portfolio in South Asia.
Since 2018 he has worked as team leader and senior expert on EIB, EBRD, EU and Union for the Mediterranean assignments covering green finance, climate risk, biodiversity finance and inclusive finance.
His drafted technical proposals on tenders for consulting firms have achieved an 80% win rate.
